The purpose of this material is to promote the guidance and assessment of a pupil's school and study skills. The material can be used to support performance appraisals and monitor the progress.
The skill areas included form a part of versatile competence sets. The key themes are thinking and learning to learn, taking care of oneself and managing daily life, cultural competence, interaction and expression, multiliteracy, working life competence and entrepreneurship, and participation and involvement.
These objectives are addressed as skills that a pupil can practise, learn and achieve. By talking about skills in an encouraging way, it is possible to support pupils to become experts in their own learning.
Self-assessment of skills A suits grades 5 and 6.
